FACILITY DETAILS Join a respected Oncology program providing inpatient and outpatient care through an award-winning 79-bed nonprofit community hospital. You will collaborate with Oncologists to assess, evaluate, treat and refer patients with a focus on promoting healthy lifestyles and providing patient education. In this role you will combine the key qualities of both nursing and medicine. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES As a valuable member of this specialized team, you will provide direct care to medical oncology patients, acting as a patient advocate to coordinate all aspects of cancer care, including psychosocial issues and referrals to outside agencies and resources. Help offer cutting-edge treatments in a community setting, giving patients the same treatments provided in larger academic institutions, close to home, and with personalized attention and care. NPs with specific Oncology experience will receive priority attention. You should have current ACLS and BLS certification. A Maine license is NOT required to apply.
